Sixth Form Open Evening Information for External Students 2026
The deadline for applications is 23:45 on Sunday 25th January 2026.
All students considering post-16 education are invited, together with their parents, to attend The Sixth Form Open Evening at Northampton School for Boys. The evening, on Thursday 8th January 2026, is open to students and parents/carers of students who are not currently attending Northampton School for Boys.
All parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend one of the three presentations taking place in the Cripps Hall Theatre at 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm. After each presentation, you will have the opportunity to visit a range of subject information stalls. Your timed ticket will include the presentation followed by the visit to subject stalls.
The presentations will explain how the application and admissions process works, as well as provide potential applicants with the opportunity to hear from the Deputy Headteacher - Director of Sixth Form, Mrs Bradley-Brophy, and to listen to the current Head Boy and Head Girl speak about their experiences at the school.
You can also learn more about the subjects offered in the Sixth Form at Northampton School for Boys, speak with current students and teachers. The subject information stalls will be available continuously between 6pm and 8.45pm, but attendees are expected to attend the stalls after their booked presentation slot.
PLEASE ONLY BOOK ONE PRESENTATION SESSION.
(Any duplicate bookings will result in the later presentation time being removed.)
To attend one of the presentations, parents, carers, and students must book a place via Ticketsource (Link Below). Due to the high number of visitors expected, a maximum of three places per family may be booked. If a time slot becomes fully booked, you will need to select an alternative presentation time. You will be asked to provide proof of your booking upon entry to the theatre, as seating is limited. Unfortunately, seats cannot be reserved if members of your party arrive at different times. All visitors for the evening must enter the school via the Cripps Hall entrance, which is opposite the Cripps Hall car park. You are advised to arrive in good time for the talks in the theatre.
