NSB Sports Days 2021

Following the postponements of Sports Day in 2020, it was with great excitement that the Sports Days of 2021 finally arrived last week, albeit in a different format to the traditional NSB Sports Days of the past.

The 2021 versions of Sports Day featured individual days for each year group, with winners for each year decided on the day. House Points were then counted cumulatively for the overall Sports Day House Championships at the end of the week.

Each day consisted of some game's activities (softball, tennis etc) followed by some of the more traditional Sports Day activities (100/200m, relays etc). Each day was hotly contested, and many of the day's events went down to the wire.

It was a joy to behold the students' enthusiasm and adaptability throughout the week and it was clear just how much every event meant to them. All students across the year groups managed to compete in at least one event on their given day and there were some notable athletic performances which came close to defeating School records in certain events.

By the end of the week, with various adaptations to the advertised programme of events due to student isolations, the House Competition was up for grabs. Every day, points were awarded for the 1-4 placings for each house and these then in turn were combined to give the overall positions as seen below.

A huge thank you to all competitors across the School from the PE department for your impeccable effort, endeavour, and behaviour over the course of the 5 days.
