Y13 Ian Murphy Art Workshop 2018
Ian Murphy is an internationally renowned artist who gains inspiration through his travels around the world; often depicting his stimuli of both urban and rural areas within his art work.
This is the second time that he has visited the school to work with the Year 13 Art students to support and develop their experimental drawing skills. The students were challenged to work in different materials, undertaking a variety of processes and techniques to push the boundaries of contemporary drawing skills.
Ian Murphy’s visit inspired many of the students to expand their drawings; developing the scale, speed and accuracy at which they work. A fantastic experience was had by all who were involved, leaving the students inspired and enthused as they progress with their coursework.
