Safeguarding
At Northampton School for Boys, the safety, wellbeing and protection of every student is our highest priority. Our Safeguarding Team works in close partnership with students, families and external agencies to ensure that all young people feel safe, supported and able to thrive.
We have a dedicated team of trained safeguarding professionals who provide support to students and their families during times of difficulty, including situations involving welfare concerns, neglect, abuse, or other safeguarding issues. Our aim is to ensure that every student receives the help and guidance they need at the right time.
We also offer advice, guidance and support to parents and carers on a wide range of safeguarding matters, helping families access appropriate resources and services when required.
Safeguarding at NSB is led by Mr Craig Armstrong (Deputy Headteacher) our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), with overall responsibility for student safety and welfare across the school.
The DSL is supported by a team of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs), including Year Team Leaders and members of the Inclusion Team. Together, they ensure that safeguarding concerns are identified, managed and responded to promptly and effectively.
