You are invited to a Parents' Evening on Tuesday 11th September 2012 starting at 7.00pm in the Theatre in The Cripps Hall.
The evening will be divided into two parts:
Introduction to Life in Year 12 - 7.00pm-7.45pm
The aim of this presentation is to make parents familiar with procedures and issues that will affect their son/daughter as they progress into the Sixth Form. The Sixth Form Management Team will provide information on topics, including:

• Getting the most out of the Sixth Form • The School - Parent relationship and lines of communication. • Role of Students - expectations and standards. • Role of Staff - teaching, monitoring and mentoring. • Role of Parents - Supporting your son/daughter's education. • An overview of the academic year. |
Year 12 Residential Visit 2012 - 7.45pm-8.30pm
We are now only a few short weeks away from this year's visit. You are, therefore, invited to attend a meeting, following the Induction to Sixth Form talk in The Cripps Hall, when relevant information will be passed to you.

| If you have already paid a deposit, this should be subtracted from the cost shown above. Your son/daughter was informed during the induction period in July that balance payments would be required immediately in September. Cheques should be made payable to Northampton School for Boys and paid into the Finance Office.
If you have not already done so, would you also please complete the attached Pupil Information Sheet and return it to Mrs T O'Neill, or the Trip Leader.

| Please be reminded that students must have a current passport for any overseas trips and we advise you to obtain a European Health Insurance Card form from the Post Office if you have not already got one. Alternatively you can obtain one on-line by visiting www.ehic.org or on the national helpline - 0845 6050707. Please contact Mrs T O'Neill at the school if you have any queries that need addressing before the meeting on Tuesday 11th September 2012.
For those students who are not attending a trip, there will be the opportunity for parents to discuss upcoming Work Experience placements with Naomi Shaeffer, who is the member of staff overseeing this.
If you are driving to the school can I ask you to avoid parking in the adjacent roads and to use The Cripps Hall car park opposite the school.
